A relationship is nothing but fiction unless you are willing to be yourself (warts and all) to those close to you, and I don't like fiction unless I am reading a book (and then, hardly ever...what's the point?). I am relaxed, hard-working, determined and not afraid to get dirty.Just about anything having to do with nature and animals is worth the dirt. I love to cook and enjoy doing things for others, but I am also perfectly content to enjoy take-out and be lazy at home for days on end, reading a good book or watching old movies. I will never be what the world sees as glamorously feminine, but I clean up nicely and am very (truly)VERY low maintenance. I love animals, especially BIG dogs, but must borrow others as my work keeps me away from home for long hours. You will usually catch me in blue jeans, t-shirt and flip-flops or boots and most of my vacation time is spent at state park cabins, wandering the countryside with my (borrowed) dog and collecting rocks in my pockets. I am not opposed to wonderful travel and luxury stays, but would just as well favor getting to know the people and places that locals frequent (not a big fan of tourist traps). I have a good sense of humor, but can be naive. I can be the life of a (small to medium) party but can also be a wallflower at times. I am not prone to entertaining (I Like cleaning house) but my food is usually the hit of any party. I am a family person and will defend my loved ones tirelessly. On the other hand, I'm not good at keeping up with friends. Don't get me wrong...I love getting together, but am bad about initiating the gathering. If you are looking for a trophy, look at someone else. If you are looking for someone real and classic, that is me.
